How it works
- 1.Drop a file. Its SHA-256 fingerprint is computed in your browser, the same fingerprint a verification record stores.
- 2.Drop a second file to compare. Identical means every byte matches.
- 3.Any change at all, one pixel, a re-save, a resize or a metadata edit, produces a completely different fingerprint.
Everything runs on your device. Your photos are never uploaded, and we never see them.
Why this matters on a jobsite
Load the phone photo on the left and the edited sample on the right: Different. Load the phone photo on both sides: Identical. The pixels of the two samples are the same picture, and the fingerprint still tells them apart, because a fingerprint answers one question only: is this the exact file, byte for byte.
At capture, the app signs the original's fingerprint and anchors it to a trusted timestamp. Anyone holding the photo can recompute it on the verify page, with no account and nothing uploaded.
Proof that holds up, automatically
Worksite Photos stamps, geotags, seals and organizes every photo the moment you take it, and gives your client a verify link nobody can argue with. From $5 per user a month. Clients and subs are free.
