Questions
Why isn't Starter free?
Because paying something shows you mean it, and it makes you a customer like any other, with the same support. Starter is not a trial: there is no clock, so keep it as long as it suits you, one person on up to 5 active projects, and move up to Team when the crew joins. Starter is billed monthly or yearly and not refunded; cancel any time and it runs to the end of the month or year you paid for.
Why is there only one plan for teams?
Because choosing between feature lists is work you should not have to do. Team has everything a crew needs at one price per user. The few things that cost extra to run, or that only some trades need, are add-ons you switch on when you want them.
Who needs a paid seat?
Anyone who captures photos on your projects: your own crew and the subcontractors you bring in. That is the only thing you pay per seat for. Add a subcontractor for the job and remove them when it ends. On monthly billing your next bill drops by that seat; on yearly billing the freed seat can go to someone else until your renewal, when the bill adjusts.
Do clients and subcontractors pay?
Clients don't. Client view links are unlimited and free on every plan, with no account needed. A subcontractor who adds photos takes a seat at the same per-user price as your crew, and sees only the projects you assign.
What is the Worksite Cloud?
It is where your photos live: every original at full resolution, its verification record and your reports, stored by us and shared with your team. Team includes 100 GB for every user, pooled across the whole team, so the total grows and shrinks with the team: five users share 500 GB, and adding a sixth makes it 600 GB. On top of that you can add 250 GB at a time whenever you choose, with no upper limit. The only limit on Team is the storage you decide to have, never a photo count.
What happens when my storage is full?
Nothing is deleted, every export keeps working, and photos you take are still saved to your phone. On Team you add storage and carry on, or archive and export finished projects to make room; on Starter you move up to Team. Nothing is charged without you choosing it.
What happens to my photos if I cancel?
Nothing is deleted and nothing is locked. Your account goes read-only and every export, originals included, stays available for at least 90 days after cancellation.
Can I switch plans?
Any time, from the web dashboard. Moving from Starter to Team takes effect immediately and is prorated on the same bill. Cancelling, or removing an add-on, takes effect at the end of the billing period.
Is there a free plan?
No. Starter is $5 a month for one person, with full verification, 5 active projects and 200 photos in the Worksite Cloud, and photos are saved to your phone's photo library and, once you connect it, your own Drive. It isn't a trial with an end date, so you can try Worksite Photos on real jobs at your own pace. Client viewers are free on every plan.
